NODA NE Weekend at Bridlington 2009
16 YLOC Members attended the NODA NE weekend at the Bridlington Spa.
The sixteen strong contingent of YLOC members attended the NODA North East Annual Weekend, when it returned to the magnificently restored Bridlington Spa. Over 700 delegates sat down to the formal dinner on Friday evening, followed by a theatre cabaret performed by Huddersfield AOS.
On Saturday Tony Reeves received a certificate as Runner Up in the Souvenir Programme Competition, with his programme for "42nd Street". Rachel Anderson (nee Reynolds), and Michael Tattersall were each presented with a NODA Bursary to attend the 2009 Summer School, after successful auditions earlier in the year.
Saturday evening was spent "dancing the night away" to the strains of the Joe Loss Orchestra and the Weekend ended on Sunday morning with an hilarious speech from the author and raconteur Gervaise Phinn.
