NODA North East Conference, Scarborough
2007
York Light performed Red Hot and Cole at the Spa Theatre in Scarborough as part of the NODA weekend. The show was presented on both Friday and Saturday evening, giving delegates the chance to see York Light as well as the other cabaret which was Songs and Snatches presented by Miscellany.
On Saturday morning there were "workshops" on ballroom dancing, a dance session for experienced dancers, stage make-up (with our own Geoff Turner as the glamorous model) and a class on audition technique. At the AGM we were delighted to learn that Tony Reeves' poster for Thoroughly Modern Millie had been awarded the prize for Best Poster in the NODA North East area.
The speaker on Sunday morning was David Wood, the children's playwright and actor.
