Scarborough 2008
2008
York Light were in the spotlight at the NODA North East Annual Weekend held this year at Scarborough. Freda Newby's outstanding service as Secretary to York Light for over 30 years was recognized and celebrated by NODA. Over five hundred people at the formal dinner on the Friday night toasted her achievements.
The following day we learned that Tony Reeve's programme for My Fair Lady had been awarded first prize in the Souvenir Programme category and the poster for My Fair Lady was awarded the runner-up certificate.
To round off a successful weekend, Rob Davies was presented with a NODA Bursary to attend the 2008 Summer School "Acting Through Song" course after his successful audition earlier in the year.
