The Likes of Us
Tuesday 23rd June to Saturday 27th June, 2009
at Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York

YLOC is proud to present The Likes of Us.

The Likes of Us was the first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice, before their success with Joseph. The show is on limited release to amateur companies in celebration of Andrew's 60th birthday.
It is then expected to open professionally in London's West End.

Reminiscent of Oliver! The Likes of Us tells the story of philanthropist Dr Thomas Barnardo. A medical student bound for China to work as a medical missionary, Barnardo discovers the appalling conditions of the poor children of London and decides to stay in England to care for them.  The show is a combination of narration and songs performed by soloists and chorus in a costumed setting.

With a host of catchy tunes and excellent lyrics, this is a show which will delight all the family — don't miss it!
